Treatment Sessions
Before providing the first treatment session to a new client I always conduct an initial consultation to understand the desired outcome. I will take a medical history and may ask about the current state of work life, home life, physical health and mental/emotional state to understand what problems the client may be experiencing and what their needs are. I will then determine which of the therapeutic massage techniques and which essential oils are optimal to meet those needs. A brief consultation also takes place at the beginning of each future treatment session.
The initial treatment session with consultation lasts around one hour and fifteen minutes . Subsequent treatment sessions normally last around the same time as I always like to check in with my clients and see what they need.

Treatments Explained
Aromatherapy Massage
What is it?A wholistic gentle Aromatherapy massage helps with a number of health conditions and helps de-stress, soothe and relax both your body and mind. It also helps a healthy immune system to fight infection and helps circulation and the elimination of toxins from the body. The treatment, based on Swedish Massage techniques, consists of flowing strokes, kneading and gentle manipulations of the muscles. Hot stones, trigger points and myofascial release are also used. This massage therapy uses essential oils (highly concentrated pure organic flower/plant oils) added to the massage oil to achieve therapeutic benefits. Each essential oil used in aromatherapy has different properties. For example, some calm while others energize.
By the time the massage is over you should be deeply relaxed and feeling calm. Sometimes people even fall sleep. The subtle aroma of the essential oils fill the air around you during the massage. |

Foot Reflexology
What is it?The basis of Foot Reflexology is that areas in specific parts of the feet correspond to different parts of the body. It involves application of pressure to those parts of the feet with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques to produce a therapeutic effect to corresponding parts in the body. It is beneficial for restoring balance and harmony in the body and releasing tension. It can help facilitate a deep state of relaxation, calm the emotions and produce a serene mind. Many people describe a profound sense of relaxation and increased energy following their session. A Reflexology session will leave you feeling calm rejuvenated, deeply relaxed and peaceful. By stimulating specific reflex points on the feet the body is encouraged to naturally restore its own healthy balance. Each session begins with a foot bath with essential oils tailored to your needs.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage
What is it?Lymphatic drainage massage, also known as Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), is a gentle massage treatment aimed at flushing toxic waste products in the lymphatic system towards the lymph nodes and then out of the body. It is performed with a slow, light, rhythmical and gentle pumping movement. The lymphatic system is an important part of the body’s immune defence against disease and infection, but the vessels and lymph nodes don’t have their own pump system, so lymph needs all the help it can get with exercise and manual massage to sweep toxins out from the body. A healthy lymphatic circulation also helps reduce the dimply appearance of cellulite and the inflammation caused by a build-up of white blood cells and toxins, which over time can lead to sore joints and other ailments.
